“It will make a year next month since you k!lled Mohbad”- Olaba Salo criticizes Naira Marley

Content creator and comedian Ojesanmi Afeez, also known as Oloba Salo, has sparked varied reactions with his recent remarks about Street-pop artist Naira Marley and his ex-signee Mohbad.

In a popular video, Salo criticized Naira Marley, accusing him of being a killer. He mentioned that the spirit of the late singer Mohbad had not found peace before Naira Marley resumed his music career.

Salo stated in the video that Naira Marley would not be remembered positively in the Nigerian music industry due to his actions towards Mohbad.

The content creator expressed sadness that it is nearly a year since Mohbad’s passed away, and his body is still in a morgue.

Oloba Salo stated that if Naira Marley had acted kindly, Mohbad would have already been laid to rest.

The TikToker also pointed out that shortly after Mohbad’s passing, Naira Marley returned to the studio to make music instead of taking time to grieve for his former artist.

In other news, During an Instagram interactive session with followers, Afrobeat singer Asake explained why he prefers to sing in Yoruba.

He mentioned that he can sing in English but prefers to express himself in Yoruba.

Asake emphasized that those who do not appreciate his music in Yoruba should stop listening entirely.

He said: “I am more comfortable singing in Yoruba, it’s not that I can’t sing in English. If you fvck with me, fvck with me with my Yoruba. If not, then don’t”.

All three of Asake’s CDs, “Mr Money With The Vibes,” “Work of Art,” and “Lungu Boy,” have primarily Yoruba lyrics.

Despite the fact that it is primarily sung in Yoruba, his hit song “Amapiano” received a Grammy Award nomination.
