Apostle Gideon Odoma, a televangelist from Nigeria, has stated that it is disrespectful for anyone to think that he and French football player Kylian Mbappe have similar appearances.
He made the statement in a Twitter post in response to analogies made after a video of him preaching went viral.
A man simply identified as Seye had asked religious extremists if it was wrong to compare a cleric to a footballer.
He asked; “I hope it is not dishonour to say Apostle Gideon Odoma looks like Kylian Mbappe 😭😭🙏”
In response, Odoma stated that he is older than the Real Madrid attacker and hence cannot be said to resemble Mbappe.
Quoting Seye’s post, he wrote; “It is. I am older than him. So, I can’t be the one looking like him. I was here, with this ‘look,’ before he was born. That’s why I can’t be the one looking like him. Any more inquiries?”

@voosiki; 😆 🤣 it’s actually from the perspective of the one who the inquirer knew first
@tokinigeorge; Totally agree sir. Social media can blur the lines of respect & age, in unnecessary cruise sometimes. I’m guilty too, cos I did write same thing but thanks for pointing it.

In other news, Dakolo expressed his belief in a recent podcast that great artistry is the result of a personal connection to the music.
Timi Dakolo, a popular Nigerian musician and composer, recently revealed his thoughts on the dispute about artists composing songs exclusively for their fans.
Dakolo expressed his belief in a recent podcast that great artistry is the result of a personal connection to the music.
“For me I have a rule that you make music for yourself because the food you want to give someone you must be able to enjoy it yourself,” he said.
Dakolo emphasized that he prioritizes creating music that he enjoys, believing that audiences will appreciate it in due course.
Dakolo, noted for his deep voice and poignant lyrics, expressed his forthright opinion, emphasizing the value of artistic authenticity.
“You are the first person to play it, the idea is yours, the motivation was yours, and the core of it was presented to you so the first person that encounters that idea is you.
“If you’re doing it for people then you are missing the whole point. A good product convinces the people. It speaks louder than asking people to come and hear your music. If the product is good people will embrace it.”
