Nollywood actress Funke Akindele, along with her siblings, Olubunmi Akindele and Poga Akindele, has taken to social media to share their heartfelt sentiments in memory of their late mother.

On February 7, 2023, the family experienced the profound loss of their mother, a moment they acknowledged on Instagram, submitting to the will of God.

In honor of their mother, the siblings utilized their individual social media platforms to reminisce about cherished moments spent with her.

Funke Akindele reflected on the lingering sense of disbelief regarding her mother’s passing, even after two years. She expressed her deep longing for her beloved mother and extended wishes for her eternal peace.

She wrote, “Mum
It’s been two years since you left us. It’s still like a dream, my darling mother. I miss you so much!!
Keep resting in peace.”

In other news, Grammy-winning artist Ayo Balogun, better known as Wizkid, showed his support for charity by attending comedian Oyebuchi Ojieh, also known as Buchi, at his live comedy show.

The event took place on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, in Lagos, featuring many rising comedians showcasing their skills.

While the first comedian was performing, Wizkid asked someone from his team to give the comedian a big cash gift.

The comedian was thankful and acknowledged Wizkid, saying that his generosity was the funniest part of the day.

Another comedian took the stage, and the singer asked a team member to give him stacks of cash. In the video, the recipient passed it to a friend and joked around with Wizkid.

The next performer received cash as well and said he could sing too. Many of the singer’s fans admired his generosity and complimented him.

Buchi posted a video of himself and Wizkid arriving and leaving the comedy lounge, mentioning that the singer danced with joy because of his generosity.
