Emeka Akumefule, popularly known as Blaqbonez, Nigerian rap star, has advised his younger colleague, Divine ‘Rema’ Ikubor, to return to school.
After about 8 months closure, the ASUU have called off the industrial action earlier this month and many universities have already reopened.
Following the development, Blaqbonez told Rema that he loves his energy at his ongoing music tour, but he added that education is key, hence why it is important that for him to go and continue his studies.
He wrote on Twitter: ”Hey @heisrema, love your tour energy and things but education is Key as no knowledge is lost. it’s time to get Back in Uni !! 🖤”

Recall that in January this year, Rema revealed his reasons for choosing to undergo his tertiary education at the University of Lagos.
The singer who spoke to media personality, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, on Rubbin’ Minds, said that main reason is because he was mostly based in Lagos.
He said; “Because I live here mostly; in Lagos.”
When asked how he’d manage his music career and schooling, Rema affirmed that once school resumed, he was going to figure it out.
He said, “Most decisions I’ve made in my life, I’ll not say everything has a 100% plan. Sometimes I just go for it because I believe that I can do it however it turns out.
“But sometimes I just try. If I see it doesn’t work, I just stop. But if I see it works, I move with it. But at least, I tried. That’s strength.”
