I’ve Heard Your Grievance, There is No Need For Protests – Tinubu To Nigerian Youths

President Bola Tinubu has informed Nigerians that there is no reason to protest.

Protests are scheduled around the country early next month.

However, speaking with State House correspondents following a meeting with Tinubu on Tuesday, Information Minister Mohammed Idris asked the protest organizers to postpone the plan and await the President’s respond to to their grievances.

“The issue of the planned protest, Mr President does not see any need for that. He’s asked them to shelve that plan. He’s asked them to await the government’s response to all their pleas,” the minister said.

The protest against economic hardship, which has gained pace on social media, is set to take place in all states of the Federation as well as the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, in August.

Food and basic commodities have risen dramatically in recent months.

Many Nigerians are currently experiencing one of the country’s biggest inflation and economic crises, which was precipitated by the government’s twin policies of removing petrol subsidies and unifying forex windows.

In other news, VeryDarkMan has publicly accused the government led by Tinubu of obstructing the progress of Aliko Dangote, Africa’s wealthiest individual.

According to VeryDarkMan, Dangote’s refinery has faced significant challenges under Tinubu’s administration, bringing the billionaire close to tears.

During a meeting with the House of Representatives, Dangote revealed that he did not receive any support or incentives from the Nigerian government for his $20 billion refinery project at the Lekki Free Trade Zone.

Furthermore, Dangote claimed that he purchased the land for the refinery at a cost of $100 million and criticized various government regulations that seemed to hinder the refinery’s operations.

In a video response, VeryDarkMan reiterated his concerns about the government’s actions towards Dangote’s refinery

He said: “Tinubu’s regime brought Africa’s richest man, Dangote close to tears during an interview, the economy is so bad that Dangote was reminiscing when his friend cautioned him against investing in Nigeria.

“I watched the interview where he said he bought the land for the refinery with $100,000 million. My question to the Nigerian government is that when he was building the refinery, why wasn’t he told that there was no crude oil for him? After building the refinery, you told him no crude oil is in Delta State, Edo, Imo, Akwa Ibom, and so on.

“Even with him going to Brazil to source crude oil, the high and mighty informed those there that he had no licence, and now he wants to sell it. But the issue is that the money he claimed to have used in building the refinery is public funds and not his personal money. “
