Ilebaye Odiniya, the winner of Big Brother Naija Season 8, has announced that she has received her prize for winning the show.
The reality TV personality earned an amazing N120 million after winning the popular show’s All-Star edition in October.
During a recent Instagram live session with her fans, Ilebaye confirmed that the prize money has arrived in her hands.
Ilebaye’s statement came after a public uproar from Phyna, the winner of Big Brother Naija Season 7, who claimed she was yet to receive the N100 million she won in 2022.
Ilebaye said:
“I have received my [BBNaija prize] money. I haven’t even touched a tiny part of it. My money hasn’t finished. I haven’t touched my prize money. And this is a fact.”
Ilebaye recently boasted that she has yet to touch her N120 million BBNaija money.
Ilebaye Odiniya, the winner of BBNaija All Stars, has resorted to Snapchat to confront claims about her financial status and luxury lifestyle.
The 23-year-old reality star, who won the popular reality show’s grand prize of N120 million, has responded to critics who labelled her as ‘broke’ due to her relatively moderate social media content.
In a heart-to-heart conversation with her followers, Ilebaye responded to a follower’s criticism that she appeared financially strained in comparison to her colleagues in the entertainment industry.
She emphasized that one’s financial well-being should not be determined only by the luxury products displayed on social media.
Ilebaye went on to state that the N120 million grand prize she won in the BBNaija All Stars edition is still untouched and safely stored.
She thanked the show’s organizers for offering her with a life-changing opportunity, which contributed to her newfound wealth.
