Jade Osebiru has officially announced the upcoming release of her highly anticipated film, Christmas in Lagos, which is scheduled to premiere on Prime Video this December.
The filmmaker expressed her enthusiasm about returning to the industry after a purposeful year-long hiatus, during which she dedicated herself to the preparation of this festive film.
“If you’ve followed me for a while, you’ll know that when I’m quiet, it means I’m cooking and food is done. I have some exciting news: we made the most beautiful, heartwarming Christmas film ever, and it’s coming to Prime Video this December,” she said.
Additionally, she highlighted the film’s impressive cast, which includes a mix of renowned actors and Afrobeats musicians, emphasizing her gratitude for the opportunity to collaborate with them.
“It was such an honour to work with some actors who I admired for years and some of the biggest names in Afrobeats cos what’s a detty December film without Afrobeats,” she added.
The film boasts a talented ensemble, featuring actors such as Richard Mofe Damijo (RMD), Shaffy Bello, Wale Ojo, Teniola Aladese, Angel Anosike, Shalom C Obiago, and Supacell star Rayxia Ojo. It will also showcase performances by Afrobeats artists including Adekunle Gold, Waje, Wurld, Liya, Ayra Starr, and Ladipoe.
