Jesus didn’t get his credit while alive, so who am I to complain – Burna Boy

Damini Ogulu, commonly known as Burna Boy, a Nigerian Grammy winner, has said that despite being “the best in the world,” he does not receive enough praise.

He said this following a performance at the Afronation event in Portugal with Nigerian-British show promoter Adesegun Adeosun Jnr, nicknamed Smade, and podcaster Adesope Olajide, aka Shopsydoo.

Smade commended Burna Boy in a popular video, saying he doesn’t get enough recognition, but the African Giant answered by comparing himself to Jesus.

The ‘African Giant’ stated that he is unconcerned about not receiving enough credit because Jesus did not receive his till after his death.

Burna went on to say that he appreciated people confirming that he is the best artist in the world.

Shopsydoo also said it’s no longer just about Afrobeats but about achieving worldwide domination in the music industry.

Shopsydoo added: “It’s not about Afrobeats anymore, it’s about worldwide domination.”

Smade said; “Burna, you keep blessing us mehn. No, you don’t get your credits enough bro. You’re the f*cking best in the world.”

Burna Boy responded: “No, I don’t [get enough credits]. Jesus also didn’t get his own credits till he died, so who am I? [Laughs]”

Grammy award-winning Nigerian singer, Damini Ogulu better known by his stage performance, Burna Boy is no doubt soaring higher each day.

The Afrobeats singer, who made headlines following his UEFA champions league performance has revealed his current state.

While sharing photos from his performance, Burna Boy stated that he is sitting on top of the world.

Damini Ogulu, commonly known as Burna Boy, popular Nigerian Afrobeats musician, performed at Ataturk Stadium on Saturday, just minutes before the start of the UEFA Champions League final.

He made history by being the first African and Nigerian artist to perform at the UCL final.

Burna delivered an exciting performance of some of his biggest hits, including the global chart-topper ‘Last Last’.

Anitta, a Brazilian singer, sang with Burna, and she had the audience bouncing out of their chairs.

A series of videos circulating on social media show Burna Boy having a good time as he controlled the stage, which had his name boldly emblazoned on a display.
