We Are All Enjoying Today’s Democracy Because Of Tinubu – Actor Jide Kosoko says

Veteran Nollywood actor Jide Kosoko has shared a startling real-life experience involving a man disguising himself as a masquerade to visit another man’s wife. The legendary actor made this revelation during an interview with actor and producer Seun Oloketuyi.

Kosoko Mediated the Dispute

According to Kosoko, he personally intervened to resolve the matter between the aggrieved husband and the so-called “masquerade.” While he did not reveal further details about the resolution, he emphasized that such incidents are more common than people might think.

The Danger of Imitation

Kosoko also raised concerns about how people might replicate such behavior if it were depicted in a film. He explained that since Ekun masquerades are traditionally considered untouchable, some individuals might exploit this belief for their own advantage.

His Exact Words

Recalling the incident, Kosoko said:

“I have witnessed an Egungun (masquerade), a person from Ekun, going into another man’s house to have a good time with his wife. I was the one who resolved the issue. But if such a scenario were to be shown in a movie, some people would see it as an idea they could replicate. They might think, ‘Oh, because nobody questions an Ekun person, I can do this too.’”

Mixed Reactions from Fans

Kosoko’s revelation has sparked mixed reactions online, with some finding the story shocking while others expressed amusement. His statement also raises broader discussions about the influence of film on real-life behavior.
