Jnr Pope’s family may pay up to N40 million to bury him away from the river

A Nigerian guy claims that in order for Jnr Pope to be buried far from the river, his family must pay between N30 and N40 million for customary ceremonies.

In a live Instagram video, he made this revelation and asserted that it was customary for individuals to pass away beside the river.

He said that if someone drowns and their body is claimed by the river spirits, there would be repercussions if the family chooses to bury them somewhere else.

He claims that even if they manage to appease the river spirits, there is still some danger involved.
