Jude Ighalo’s Ex-Wife, Sonia Adesuwa, Calls Him Out Over Tithing Claims

Sonia Adesuwa, the ex-wife of Nigerian footballer Jude Ighalo, has taken a swipe at him following his viral video where he claimed to faithfully pay 10% of his earnings as tithe for the past 20 years.

In the video, Ighalo spoke proudly about his unwavering commitment to tithing, emphasizing that he has never missed a single payment throughout his career. However, Sonia reacted with skepticism, mocking him and accusing him of hypocrisy.

Sonia’s Explosive Claims

In a now-deleted Instagram story, Sonia alleged that while Ighalo gives generously to religious leaders, his own family struggles financially. She specifically mentioned his elder sister, claiming she sells garri and tomatoes in a kiosk, while his siblings and their families allegedly live in his house with no independent means of livelihood.

Taking further shots, she accused Ighalo of paying bloggers to tarnish her image and vowed to keep exposing him.

“This is coming from someone whose elder sister sells garri and tomatoes in a kiosk. This boy is insane as hell! Continue to deceive your gullible followers with your diabolical Aza Men, whom you call MOG (Men of God). I recall Dozel (his pastor) pleading with me to convince him to join the pastors to whom he pays tithe,” she wrote.

Sonia also alleged that the pastors benefiting from Ighalo’s tithes have built mansions, while his family members remain dependent on him.

“They all have mansions in the East. Where are his siblings? Aside from being a nuisance in society and passing themselves off as Ighalo brothers/sisters? What do they do for a living? They all live in his homes with their spouses and children.”

“Why Pay 10% to Pastors When Your Family is Struggling?”

Sonia concluded her rant by questioning why Ighalo prioritizes religious giving over supporting his own family.

“10% to Aza Men pastors when your family never chop finish. No be juju be that?” she wrote.

Her remarks have since sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some criticizing her for airing private family matters, while others questioned Ighalo’s financial priorities.
