Nigerian filmmaker and human rights advocate Stanley Nwoke, known as Ontop, faced heavy backlash after a video of him celebrating his new car went viral.
He was one of the first to report the death of Nollywood actor Junior Pope.
Many online criticized Stanley for discussing Junior Pope’s death on Facebook Live while the actor was still in the hospital fighting for his life.
Some believe Stanley’s recent fame is linked to his involvement in Junior Pope’s tragic situation.
In a post, he shared a video of his new car and reflected on his past, mentioning how he and his mother sold pure water, Akara, and pushed a wheelbarrow in Abuja to make a living.
