The embattled Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari, to conduct the referendum for Biafra’s secession, or forget about any form of election in the entire South-East, in 2019.
Kanu, who made this threat in a widely circulated video on YouTube, also insisted that there will be no Anambra Gubernatorial election, slated for November, 2017.
He said: “If the Federal Government does not agree with us on a date for referendum, there will be no elections in the South-East; we are starting with Anambra, come November this year. There will be no Governorship election in Anambra State. “
He Added: “In 2019, the whole of Biafra land will not vote for any President. There will be no Senator, there will be no House of Reps, there will be no House of Assembly, and there will be no Councilorship elections in Biafra land, if they fail to call for a referendum.”
“We are not like any other people. People like us do not come twice. That is why I know that with the last breath in this very body, that Biafra will be restored. There is nothing anybody can do about it. Tell them that is what I said. Nobody on this earth can stop Biafra.
“In 2019, the whole of Biafra land will not vote for any President. There will be no Senator, there will be no House of Reps, there will be no House of Assembly, and there will be no Councilorship elections in Biafra land, if they (Federal Government) fails to call for a referendum.”
