Damilola Adeparusi, also known as Chef Dammy, a 22-year-old chef, has disclosed her desire to go on a 150-hour cooking spree, according to the Nigerian Tribune.
Chef Dammy reiterated her choice to break a Guinness World Record (GWR) in an interview with reporters in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital of Ekiti, on Friday.
While recognizing the support of stakeholders both within and outside of Ekiti state, the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) 300-level Mass communication student stated that she is determined to shatter the global record with the 150-hour cooking marathon she plans to undertake soon.
This comes after she denied attempting a Guinness World Record.
The Ekiti Chef explained on her official Facebook page that her purpose with the 120-hour cook-a-thon was to test her abilities rather than to break any records.
She expressed her gratitude for continuing and not giving up in the face of criticism.
“I stated this earlier that I embarked on this journey to test my capability not for any GWR.. l am happy that I cooked for 120 hours. I am proud that I never gave up,” she said.
