Prince Abdulfatai Adeyemi , the late Alaafin of Oyo son, fondly called D-Gov, is dead.
He died in the early hours of Friday, a day before his 47th birthday.
According to reports, he passed away at the University College Hospital in Ibadan, Oyo State, from diabetes.
The Peoples Democratic Party’s platform saw the Oyo prince, who had reportedly been unwell for some time, run for the Oyo Federal Constituency in 2019. However, he was defeated by his brother, Akeem Adeyemi, also known as Skimeh, who was re-elected for a second term.
During his first tenure, he was appointed Chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Pension Board by the state governor, Seyi Makinde.
