Several villagers in Tudun Biri, in the Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State, are said to be dead following reports that a bomb was launched by a military jet during a Maulud celebration
The tragedy happened on Sunday night at around nine o’clock at night, and according to Daily Trust, about thirty individuals died.
The bomb went off at a village celebration honoring Maulud, locals claim.
When asked about the number of casualties, Samuel Aruwan, the overseeing commissioner of the State Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, refuses to respond.
During a press conference at Government House, Aruwan stated that the government plans to make the information public.
“We will address the press at Government House on the situation because there would be a security meeting later. So, let’s meet by 10am,” Aruwan told Daily Trust.
