Just In: NASS Summons Minister, Security Chiefs, Over Insecurity.

On Tuesday, Nigerian Senate ordered the Minister of Defense and heads of the nation’s security outfits to appear before it.

The service chiefs, Inspector-General of Police, Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS) and other heads of security agencies were also summoned by the lawmakers.

After a motion moved by Senator Bello Mandiya from Katsina State, and various contribution from other lawmakers during Tuesday plenary, the legislators passed a vote of no confidence on the leadership of the various security agencies.

They also frowned at the decision by President Muhammadu Buhari to ignore security resolutions passed by them regarding the insecurity in Nigeria.
