Just In: Suspected Armed Robbers Escape Police Custody in Calabar.

Suspected kidnappers and armed robbers, said to be nineteen in number have escaped from detention in Calabar, the Cross River State capital.

CrossRiverWatch revealed that the suspects escaped from police custody between Saturday night and Sunday morning after using a hacksaw to cut the key to the cell.

It is also reported that the station guard on night duty and some other officers on duty have been detained, but the police authorities are keeping the incident secret.
