A lecturer with the University of Benin, Maxwell Eseosa Aimuen, has been shot dead by unknown gunmen in Benin City, Edo state.
The 33-year-old lecturer in the department of public administration, was shot dead on Saturday, June 12, at his home entrance in Isihor while he was driving into his compound.
It was gathered that his assailants shot him several times before fleeing the scene. He was said to have rushed to the hospital where he was confirmed dead.
The Public Relations Officer of the university, Benedicta Ehanire, confirmed the incident to reporters in Benin.
