Veteran Nollywood actor Anayo Modestus Onyekwere, well known as Kanayo O Kanayo, has lamented the passing of his beloved friend and colleague Amaechi Muonagor over the weekend.
On Instagram, Kanayo O Kanayo, who confirmed Amaechi’s death, published a photo of the dead with a statement reminiscing about their times together.
The seasoned actor described how he would often exhibit fear whenever Amaechi Muonagor performed an acrobatic summersault, which he accomplished very well despite his age and size.
Kanayo O Kanayo remarked how he gave life to the set and worked hard to retain their cultural characteristics. He also urged his friend to rest well since God understands why he was summoned at such a time.
Kanayo O Kanayo wrote:
“Iyi, I was always afraid whenever you did your acrobatic somersault. It was indeed outstanding despite your weight. You would always say. Nwokem, o taa, meaning, you grew up doing it.
On set, there was no dull moment as you did your best to preserve our Igbo culture. God knows why he called you now. Good night dear brother. RIP”
GISTLOVER announced hours ago that Amaechi Muonagor had died despite all efforts to save him.
The veteran’s death was confirmed on the X app by Morris Money, who stated that the actor died despite being sent to India for treatment.
