Kanye West, an American hip hop musician and business entrepreneur, has announced his official retirement from professional music.

The 47-year-old rapper shared the news that left fans dissatisfied while having a conversation with colleague, Rich The Kid.

In a screenshot of their discussion which Rich The Kid posted on his Instagram story on Tuesday, Kanye said he’s unsure of what to do next.

“I am retiring from professional music. Not sure what else to do,” Kanye said.

In a bid to dissuade him from leaving the music business, Rich The Kid stated; “Retire? Why? How? The people need you. The music you, TY [Dollar $ign] and we have made was the biggest stamp in culture to this date in 2024.

“Drop Ye about mine & V2 and we do it all over again. The kids need you, big bro. Fashion maybe some time to chill but retiring ain’t it.”

Meanwhile in other news…

Nicki Minaj, a well-known rapper, might start producing more pop music.

She got the idea after observing how much fans like her pop song “Starships” at a recent show in Vienna, Austria.

After the show, she said, “Vienna, Austria, you guys were so amazing. When ‘Starships’ started playing, that’s when I knew the kind of crowd they were. Because you should’ve seen, they were doing circles in the crowd and just having their own moment. It made me feel like, ‘Oh my gosh, maybe I should make a couple more pop songs.’”

Nicki Minaj is widely regarded as one of the greatest female rappers of all time.

However, she is considering modifying her style slightly.

This is not uncommon in the rap industry. Other well-known rappers like as Drake, J.Cole, and Kendrick Lamar have recently begun to incorporate more pop elements into their music.
