Kate Henshaw fires back at Mr Ibu’s wife over her claims of AGN neglecting ailing actor

Kate made it quite evident that, when it comes to problems of health, in particular, the guild has never abandoned any of its members. She came clean, saying that prior to her husband’s health crisis, the union had not offered her any assistance and that her attempts to contact the Actors Guild had resulted in a fruitless search.

As the Actors Guild of Nigeria’s representative, Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw has responded sharply to Stella Maris, the veteran actor John Okafor’s wife, also referred to as Mr. Ibu, for her harsh criticism of the guild.

Kate Henshaw angrily denied allegations made last night that she had neglected Mr. Ibu, who is battling a critical illness.

Kate made it quite evident that, when it comes to problems of health, in particular, the guild has never abandoned any of its members.

Stella Maris reacted by pulling back the veil in a video posted by social media critic VeryDarkMan and claiming that the Guild’s statement was a total fabrication devoid of any truth.

She came clean, saying that prior to her husband’s health crisis, the union had not offered her any assistance and that her attempts to contact the Actors Guild had resulted in a fruitless search.

Retaliating, Kate Henshaw blasted Stella Maris for spreading what she considered to be lies, insisting that the Guild has supported the actor since 2021.

Although Stella Maris may be in desperate circumstances, as Kate pointed out, which could account for her statement, it is inaccurate to characterize the Guild as being unhelpful to her husband.

Her words;

“Good morning my attention has been drawn to a video circulating on social media as of last night made by Mr Ibu’s wife.

Let me state here categorically that this would be the last statement I would make on this issue.

The crock of the matter is that someone is ill, asking for help and the focus is on him to get better.

As of 2022/2021, when issues arose concerning his health, I wasn’t the public relations officer for the Actors Guild. My ejection into this post was this year.

Let me state categorically and vehemently that AGN has been of help to Mr Ibu.

I do understand that she is at her wit’s end, anybody would be, but to say AGN lied isn’t true”.
