“My gospel album, ‘Cultural Praise’ paid more than any other in my entire music career” – Kcee

Superstar musician and businessman, Kingsley Okonkwo, professionally known as Kcee, has disclosed that his joint gospel album with Okwesili Eze Group, ‘Cultural Praise’ paid him more money than other albums he has ever released in his entire music career.

In a recent interview with Cool FM in Lagos, Kcee stated that people derided him when he ventured into gospel music, claiming that it would be the end of his career, but the gospel album was a huge hit.

Kcee said, “When I did the gospel [album] and a lot of people were like, ‘It’s over, he is actually going close to his village. Now he’s taking the music to the village.’

“That was horrible. When I heard that I was like, okay, let’s see how that works. And it didn’t happen. I made more money from it [the gospel album]; more than any ever before in my whole career.”
