Kebbi Govt Mourns As LG Chairman Dies

Following a lengthy illness, Muhammad Bello, the chairman of the Maiyama Local Government Area in Kebbi State, passed away unexpectedly, according to the state government.

The deceased passed away early this morning and will be buried later in the day, according to a statement released to news reporters on Thursday by state governor Ahmed Idris’ spokesperson.

The statement read, “Regrettably, with heavy heart, I announce the death of Hon. Zayyanu Muhammad Bello, Executive Chairman of Maiyama local Government.

“He died early this morning at UDUTH Sokoto after a protracted illness.”

The statement further disclosed that the time for burial will be communicated to the public.
