Actress Angela Eguavoen has cried out on her social media page, while calling out Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) over her inability to collect Permanent Voters Card (PVC).
According to her, she’s eager to vote in the upcoming election.
Narrating her ordeal, from point of registration and inability to secure her PVC, the actress said:
“I registered for my PVC since May 2022. I left my house for the collection of my PVC at 6am today, as at 6:30am I was already at Ikota Primary School Lekki Lagos. As early as I was, I was the 39th person on the list. I waited in the car until 10am before the INEC officials resumed work and commenced PVC distribution. I waited on the queue for another 2hrs before it finally got to my turn, only to get to the collection desk and the INEC official told me that MY PVC WAS NOT PRINTED!
I am literally just getting home now.
I am extremely exhausted, heartbroken and pissed because I went through so much stress to get my PVC registration done and the stress continued again for collection as I have been on the collection process since yesterday.
I went to the LGA at Ikate yesterday then I was referred to Ikota Primary School, I got there and the crowd scared me.
I just had to do an early morning run today but las las the Nigeria factor came in, MY PVC WAS NOT PRINTED.
Dear @inecnigeria please do something about this.
Although your officials gave us a list to write our names on so our PVC can be printed but the names on that list is a lot and it’s so unbelievable.
@inecnigeria Kindly ensure our PVC’s are printed, please
Only God knows how many more registered voters card are yet to be printed ?
Please tag @inecnigeria.”
