The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrosheed Akanbi, believes that any king who worships idols is a herbalist and should be to quit their throne.

On Monday, July 22, the Monarch expressed this sentiment during a reception hosted by the Iwo community at his palace. He stated that some monarchs from South Western states have expressed their willingness to join a new group he is forming for monarchs who do not worship idols.

According to a statement released in Osogbo by Oluwo’s Chief Press Secretary, Alli Ibrahim, the royal father also stated that monarchs who join the association will only trust in the Almighty God and cautioned idol worshippers to remain away from Yoruba land.

According to the announcement, selected and interested monarchs from South Western states have expressed their preparedness to create a Yoruba Monarchs Association that trusts exclusively in Olodumare.
