Kogi State Police Confirm Attack on Senator Natasha’s Family House

• Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s family house was attacked by unknown assailants with firearms and cutlasses in the early hours of Tuesday.

The Kogi State Police Command has confirmed the attack on the family home of Senator Natasha Akpoti by unknown assailants in the late hours of Tuesday.

Earlier reports from Gistlover had indicated that the attackers, armed with firearms and cutlasses, launched an assault on the residence of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.

Kogi State’s Commissioner of Police, Miller Dantawaye, provided further details during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lokoja, confirming the attack. He stated, “The command has been fully briefed on the unfortunate and criminal incident by the Okehi LGA Divisional Police Officer. So far, no arrest has been made. Investigation into the incident has begun, and we shall get to the root of it. We will deal with those criminal elements that carried out the attack.”

This confirmation came shortly after a statement from Natasha’s Chief Press Secretary, Arogbonlo Israel, condemning the attack and confirming that the assault had indeed taken place.
