According to reports, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) canceled elections at 67 voting places in Kogi State’s Ogori-Magongo local government area.
Residents of the Magongo community reportedly protested that results were written on the result sheet before accreditation and voting had started in the polling places, which led to the cancellation of the election.
According to a source who communicated with SaharaReporters, INEC has called off the local elections.
The source said, “The election here has been cancelled. The protest has made the INEC officials call off their staff. In all polling unit in Ogori/Magongo local government.”
Residents of Magongo in the Ogori-Magongo local government area of Kogi State are claiming that results have been written on the result sheet before accreditation and voting have even started, according to a previous report from Gistlover.
The residents who stormed the Magongo RAC center expressed their displeasure that, in spite of all the promises of a free and fair election, officials of the INEC and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) had already written the results of the various polling units in the local government before the election had even begun.
APC was leading in some pre-written polling unit results, with PDP and SDP receiving zero or two votes.

Writing of results before the start of the election is selling of the people's vote, who will question the writer, the person that brought it to polling units, and the favored party or candidate because there is no justice in Nigeria but judgement. I pray for Nigeria in distress, the enemies of progress, economic stagnation, political killers, looters, political fraudster and those that destroy the aspirations and zeal to remedy this country.
