In under 48 hours, Korra Obidi has managed to accumulate nearly $50,000 through her GoFundMe campaign, which aims to cover her legal expenses for the upcoming court battle against her ex-husband, Justin Dean.
Recently, Justin obtained image rights protection from Meta, resulting in the removal of all videos featuring their children from Korra’s Facebook page, which was also demonetized.
In response, Korra made a plea for financial assistance to challenge this decision in court.
Justin, on the other hand, admitted to contacting Facebook and expressed his determination to keep their children off the platform.
Despite the ongoing legal proceedings, Korra’s fundraising efforts have proven to be successful thus far. Within a short span of time, she has already raised $49,346 out of her $100,000 goal, with the donation amount continuing to rise each time the GoFundMe page is refreshed. Over 1.1k individuals have contributed to the cause, with the highest donation amounting to $1,000.
Korra and her sister, Nancy Umeh, express their gratitude to all the donors for providing Korra with a fighting chance.
