Korra Obidi speaks in Portable’s defense, calls out Nigerian Police and Singer’s ex-signee, Manny Monie- [Video]

Korra Obidi, a Nigerian dancer and singer, has weighed in on controversial street-hop artist Portable’s arrest and arraignment by police for claimed assault.

The Zazuu Crooner was recently charged by the Ogun Police command with six counts of assault-related offenses before the Ifo-based Ogun State High Court.

Korra Obidi, who was commenting on the music star’s experience with the police via Facebook live, expressed her admiration for the performer and chastised the security service for treating Portable like a criminal in front of the public.

The arrest and arraignment of a street performer like Portable rather than dishonest politicians, in the opinion of the mother of two,

Manny Monie, Portable’s ex-signee, was also chastised by her for filing a petition against the singer in a case that could be resolved without the participation of the authorities.

GISTLOVER previously reported that Portable was arrested on Friday, March 31, 2023, after an altercation with police officials at his bar, which allegedly resulted in one of them being injured.

Portable’s courtroom footage went viral, and despite his online bravado, he looked helpless.

The music icon, on the other hand, was granted bail by the High Court in Ifo, Ogun State.

Portable Now a Free Man After Perfecting Bail Conditions

Habeeb Okikiola, has been released after fulfilling his bail conditions.

Okikiola, also known as Portable, was arraigned in an Ogun State Magistrate’s Court in Ifo on Monday for alleged assault and theft.

The court had previously granted him bail in the amount of N800,000 for the three charges, with two sureties in the same amount.

The court ruled that the sureties must be landowners within the court’s jurisdiction.

Okikiola was transferred to the Ilaro Correctional Centre after failing to meet his bail conditions.

However, Victor Oyeleke, the Spokesman for the Nigerian Correctional Service in Ogun, confirmed to newsmen this evening that Portable had completed the bail conditions and had left the prison custody.

“He has perfected the bail conditions and he just left the custody,” Oyeleke said.

The case has since been adjourned to April 26 for the commencement of trial.
