KWAM 1 Honors Longest-Serving Band Member with N20m During New Year Concert

Legendary Fuji artist King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as KWAM 1, created an unforgettable moment at his New Year concert on January 1, 2025, by honoring his longest-serving band member, Fatai Oluperi Ayinla, with a whopping ₦20 million gift.

The heartfelt gesture took place during the ‘New Year Dance’ event at the Balmoral Convention Center, Sheraton Ikeja, Lagos. KWAM 1 expressed deep gratitude to Ayinla for his unwavering loyalty and invaluable contributions to the band’s success over the years.

As the audience erupted into cheers, KWAM 1 presented the substantial cash gift, recognizing Ayinla’s role in the band’s remarkable journey. The emotional scene was met with applause and admiration from the crowd.

In a further show of appreciation, renowned Nollywood actor and producer of Seven Doors, Femi Adebayo, added to the celebration by donating ₦500,000 to Ayinla as a token of his respect for the veteran band member’s dedication.
