Gospel singer Agnes Iroh has criticized Olamide Adedeji, known as Olamide, for using her song “Ladder” in one of his tracks.

The music star included ‘Ladder’ in his song called ‘Our Lord Jesus’. He changed the chorus from Iroh’s song.

In a video shared online, Iroh said that Olamide didn’t ask for permission before using part of her song. She mentioned that she has been very ill, which is why she hadn’t responded to the singer’s actions until now.

Iroh asked Olamide to visit her so they could sort things out.

In the video, Iroh talked about how much effort she put into her music in the 90s when she released the song.

It’s worth noting that some artists have used samples from other musicians before.

Nigerian artist Simi sampled a song by Ebenezer Obey and even went to see him to ask for permission. She included clips of her visit in her song’s video.

Burna Boy once invited Toni Braxton to join him on stage during his concert after using her song in his performance.

@greatseunrec: “I’m surprised Olamide sampled the song without getting necessary approval. If that is true, he needs to do the rightful.
