A Nigerian woman has asked for aid on social media after her mother, a baker, unknownly prepared 220 loaves of bread for a church event, believing it was today, only to realise that it is next week.
This was exposed in a message she made on X (previously Twitter) requesting help.
She turned to social media to explain that her mother believed the church’s event was set for today, but was dismayed to learn that it had been rescheduled until next week.
She stated that the bread, which amounted to around 220 loaves, would spoil if not sold right away, and pleaded with people to support her mother.
Her statement: “🚨 HELP NEEDED!
“My mum’s bakery made 220 loaves of bread for her church’s CSR program, thinking it was today, but the date was changed to next week! 😩 If we don’t sell these, they’ll spoil, and we still have to bake more next week!
Please, if you’re around Ketu or nearby, kindly help us.”
“kindly patronize Honey Bakes (FS). The bread is fresh, delicious, and just ₦1500 per loaf! 🍞 You can find us at 1 Olatunji Ige, Ikosi, Ketu, Lagos or call 08080664475 for delivery/pickup.”
“Your support would mean the world to us right now!”
