Lady Gaga Faces Lawsuit Over Alleged Logo Misuse For ‘Mayhem’ Album

  • Lady Gaga is being sued by surfboard company Lost International.
  • The lawsuit claims she improperly used their logo design for her album “Mayhem.”
  • Lost International’s merchandise features the word “Mayhem,” which they argue is similar to Gaga’s album title design.

Lady Gaga is facing a lawsuit from surfboard company Lost International, which claims she improperly used its logo design for her latest album, Mayhem.

Lost International, known for its merchandise featuring the word “Mayhem,” alleges that Gaga’s stylized version of the title is nearly identical to its own. The company asserts that it reached out to Gaga—whose real name is Stefani Germanotta—about the similarity but received no resolution.

According to legal documents cited by TMZ, Lost International has held the rights to its Mayhem logo since 2015 and has been using the design for over a decade. The company provided visual comparisons of its branding and Gaga’s album artwork, arguing that the resemblance is too close to ignore.

Lost International is seeking damages, including profits generated from the allegedly copied design, and is pushing to prevent Gaga from continuing to use the logo.

Gaga’s attorney, Orin Snyder, dismissed the lawsuit in a statement to DailyMail.com, calling it an “opportunistic and meritless abuse of the legal system.” He emphasized Gaga’s massive success, stating, “Lady Gaga’s Mayhem soared to No. 1 and shattered records, a testament to her unmatched talent and global impact. It’s disappointing—but hardly surprising—that someone is now attempting to capitalize on her success with a baseless lawsuit.”

Gaga’s album Mayhem, released on March 7, marks her first full-length pop studio album since 2020’s Chromatica. The album has been a commercial success, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and topping charts in 21 countries. It features hit singles like Disease, Abracadabra, and her Grammy-winning collaboration with Bruno Mars, Die With A Smile.
