A woman expressed her dissatisfaction after a bedspread seller allegedly deceived her into buying a ₦14,000 bedspread concealed in cartons.
In a video that went viral, the woman, @kirikiri_star_ella_gusta, recounted her experience of purchasing the neatly folded bedspread while on a public bus at Onitsha Express.
She revealed that she spent ₦7,000 for each of the two bedspreads. Her disappointment was palpable when she opened them and found they were packed in cartons, misleadingly suggesting they were full-sheet bedspreads.
The woman claimed the vendor had tricked her, as the bedspread was only six yards long and included four pillowcases.
Many users on the internet shared their own similar experiences, confirming they had also been misled by such vendors. Some remarked that the woman should have been wary of the price, while others pointed out that vendors often avoid unwrapping the items to keep customers in the dark.
