A Nigerian lady has gone on social media to present a list of 31 strict rules that her future boyfriend must adhere to in their relationship.

This was shared on her X (formerly Twitter) account. She specified the behaviors she desires from him and those that are off-limits.

Her requirements include:

1. You must be a believer in God and know how to pray.

2. No female best friend.

3. We need to see each other at least three times a week.

4. No social media posts asking, “Who wants to get me this?” (Are you begging?). I don’t want to see your account number online.

5. If you’re going to be busy all day, let me know; don’t just go silent on me.

6. Once a month, we must go for an evening stroll.

7. I don’t want an extreme mama’s boy.

8. Please no female friends in your house; friendships should remain on the phone or outside.

9. My friends are NOT your friends.

10. No dreadlocks, skin cuts, or extreme low cuts.

11. No sagging pants or overly ragged jeans (Are you a prisoner?).

12. Don’t shut me out; if you’re going through something, communicate with me. I’m not dumb.

13. You need to smell nice.

14. You should know how to cook and keep your household clean.

15. When you use the bathroom, please raise the toilet seat.

16. Under no circumstances should your friends refer to me as “our wife.”

17. You must never yell at me; I’m not your child.

18. All men cheat, but my man “doesn’t” cheat.

19. Always learn to listen.

20. Be a masculine man but not an extremist.

21. I don’t have a good sense of humor, so don’t insult me and say you were joking.

22. At least one date a month is required.

23. No keeping in contact with exes.

24. I won’t do any private relationship with you; I want to brag about you, just as you should about me.

25. Accountability is a must.

26. I must know your whereabouts.

27. Daily reassurance is important.

28. Once in a while, love notes are appreciated.

29. If you say, “I’m lodging with my friend,” I’ll ask: Don’t you have a house?
