A post on TikTok has led to a variety of reactions, featuring a woman who discussed her previous job.
She claimed to have worked as a professional money picker for two to three years and offered a thorough explanation of her experience.
She noted that she had to invest in her image to ensure she didn’t come across as just someone picking up money at the club.
“I rebranded myself, I bought hair, some good clothes, some shoes, some nice perfume, treated my skin, I was popping. The first club I went to, they easily accepted me because I looked nice.”
Reflecting on the obstacles she faced, she shared that at the start of her career, bouncers frequently removed her from the club.
She also described a moment when a bouncer stepped on her hand for almost five minutes as she attempted to gather money.
“There was this club I went to, there’s one huge bouncer there I had no idea that he has been marking me so when they threw the money and I dived to pick it he stepped on my hand and stood there. I was trying to shout, I was trying to hit him but he was too huge and everywhere was too loud.” She said.
