Lady travels from America to Lagos just to get her hair done

A lady named Crystal Diamond has attracted the attention of social media users with a video showing that she flew from America, specifically New York, to Lagos solely to get her hair done.

The video, which has received a lot of attention online, shows the lady justifying her unusual travel decision.

In the TikTok video, the lady expresses her desire to visit Nigeria for a day and get her hair styled.

She emphasizes her seriousness by loosening her present hairstyle as she arrives at Lagos’ Murtala Muhammed International Airport.

The lady describes her journey, saying she went from New York to Amsterdam before connecting in Lagos.

She adds that besides getting her hair done, she plans to use the opportunity to visit and greet her family members in Nigeria.

In other news, Farooq Oreagba, who gained fame for his eye-catching attire during the 2024 Ojude Oba Festival, has been named an Honorary Ambassador by the National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC).

Oreagba stood out at the celebration, dressed in a bright green and yellow traditional attire and riding a horse. His shot went viral, and people began to call him the  “King of Steeze.”

Obi Asika, the leader of NCAC, disclosed this on Instagram, saying: “He represents all that is good about Nigeria, please celebrate him, a true Nigerian original!”

Asika also said that Oreagba has been battling cancer for eleven years but has always remained optimistic. He said, “My brother is a fighter, diagnosed with terminal cancer he has been fighting it for a decade and never been anything but positive.”

The Ojude Oba Festival is a significant cultural festival in Ijebu-Ode that honours the local king and celebrates Ijebu traditions.

Although many significant people attend, Oreagba’s distinct style and personal tale set him apart this year.

Oreagba previously worked at the Nigerian Stock Exchange but was forced to resign in 2014 after being stricken with cancer.

Following two years of treatment, he was confirmed cancer-free. He now operates a company named NG Clearing.

His appearance at the festival exemplified hope, bravery, and the strong Nigerian spirit.

The NCAC’s recognition honors not only his flair, but also his perseverance and depiction of Nigerian culture.
