Latest on Buhari’s Resignation!!! Senate President Bukola Saraki, Or AGF, Abubakar Malami Set To Emerge As Vice President
An online portal, Sahara Reporters, has revealed that Senate President, Bukola Saraki, and the Attorney-General of the Federation, AGF, are in a running battle over who emerges as Vice President, to Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo.
This came as the online portal revealed that the President Muhammadu Buhari’s Doctors continue to insist that Mr. President cannot function, or run Nigeria in his present state of health.
Sources told Sahara Reporters, that some Aso Rock cabals held several meetings with Saraki’s team, in Saudi Arabia, during the lesser Hajj.
At the meeting, the cabal decided on a number of options; one of which is to force Malami, as the Vice President to Osinbajo.
In that event, the cabals concluded to prevail on Buhari to resign, provided that Osinbajo agreed to drop all corruption cases against Senators, and withdraw the Federal Government’s appeal against a verdict of the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT that cleared Saraki of charges that he violated the assets declaration laws.
One source said Saraki was opposed to the plan, as he aspires to become the Vice President, so as to be assured of immunity from prosecution.
However, cabal members favour Malami, because they consider him somebody who comes from the “core North”, and would be more acceptable to their base, a profile Saraki does not fit.
