Layi Wasabi, a famous skit maker, shared a story about how his uncle traveled from Ibadan to Osogbo to discipline him for his poor performance in physics.
In an interview on the 90s Baby Show, Layi revealed that his uncle took a two-hour journey specifically to punish him for excelling in biology, chemistry, and other arts subjects while failing physics.
Due to his grades, there were suggestions for Layi to switch to the arts stream.
However, this did not sit well with his mother, who believed he was not taking his studies seriously. As a result, she reported him to one of his uncles.
The very next day, Layi’s uncle made the trip to his house.
Layi, fully aware of his uncle’s intentions, opened the gate for him and helped carry his bags.
After his uncle had a glass of water, he asked Layi to bring his report card.
Then, he instructed Layi to lie down in order to receive a punishment for his failure in physics and poor performance in mathematics.
