Today 20th oct, Nigerians mark the 2nd anniversary of the ENDSARS lekki tollgate shooting which occurred on the October 20, 2020, actor Alex Ekubo, has called for the renaming of the Lekki Tollgate in memory of the lives lost on that day and that it should be toll-free as well.
The actor made this request on his Instagram page this morning. He shared a photo from the protest against police brutality and wrote;
“Dear Nigerian Government, we will NEVER forget this day. 20 – 10 – 20. We will return the favour. The Labour of our heroes past shall never be in vain.
“I still maintain, Lekki Toll plaza shLekki Tollgate Should Be Free, We Paid With Our Blood”

Recall that yesterday popular Nigerian skit maker, actor and activist, Mr Macaroni had announced a peaceful walk to commemorate the second anniversary of the #EndSARS protest against police brutality.
The 29-year-old who made the announcement in a Twitter post on Wednesday said the peaceful walk would honour victims of the October 20 protest at Lekki toll gate in Lagos.
He wrote: “Peaceful Walk tomorrow in honor of all #EndSars and Police Brutality Victims!!! We no go fit ever forget!”
