American rapper Nicki Minaj praises her former boss, Lil Wayne, and credits him for influencing her career and ultimately transforming her life forever.
According to the rap queen, she was a nobody until Lil Wayne picked her up.
She revealed this to an enthusiastic audience at her most recent performance, when she welcomed Wayne to the stage.
She bowed three times to Wayne, describing him as “the best rapper alive.”
Nicki Minaj said:
“Make some noise for the man that single-handedly changed my life.
“I am nobody without you. I don’t give a damn how long I’ve been in this game, I think you are the best rapper alive. Thank you for changing my life.”
However, Lil Wayne stated that he would agree with her that he is the best rapper alive, “but there is a certain person by the name of Nicki Minaj” who is greater than him.
Nicki Minaj began her career with Lil Wayne’s record label, Young Money, with Drake.
In another piece, Nicki Minaj discusses plans to explore Nigeria.
Nigerian fans of Nicki Minaj are ecstatic after learning that the rapper plans to bring her world tour to their country.
After a Nigerian fan voiced dissatisfaction with Africa’s exclusion from Nicki Minaj’s recently shared world tour locations, the singer indicated she would consider incorporating Nigeria on the tour if enough fans expressed interest.
The fan with the X account @RamatVictory posted screenshots of the tour stops in several countries and wrote, “Once again, African barbz [Nick Minaj’s fans] bite dust.” Well, whatever.
In response, Nicki Minaj’s verified X handle tweeted, “Abeg, sign up where it says (if you don’t see your city) so that your city/country will be there when I get to Africa.”
