Update On Virgil Van Dijk’s Knee injury.

Netherlands national team captain, Virgil Van Dijk, has went into  surgery on his knee following an injury he had a few days ago while playing for his club, Liverpool FC against Everton.

Recall that the Dutch professional footballer plays as a center-back for the English Premier League club was knocked out the pitch by Everton goalkeeper, Jordan Pickford in the Merseyside derby clash on October 17.

Furthermore, Liverpool has confirmed that the player will now focus on the beginning of his rehabilitation.

This was revealed in a tweet on Liverpool’s official Twitter account on Friday, October 30.

The tweet reads: “@VirgilvDijk has undergone successful surgery on the knee ligament injury he sustained earlier this month.

“He’ll now focus on the beginning of his rehabilitation with the support of our medical department.”
