“Lots of musicians not connecting with fans” — Singer Tiwa Savage

  • Nigerian afrobeats queen Tiwa Savage has emphasized the importance of artists fostering strong relationships with their fans.
  • In a podcast episode, Savage highlighted that artists who establish strong relationships with their fans can foster connections in other aspects of their lives.
  • She mentioned that her colleagues Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy are trending due to their strong fan relationships.

Nigerian afrobeats artist Tiwa Savage has underscored the importance of fostering connections between musicians and their audiences.

In a recent episode of the ‘Shopping The Sneakers’ podcast, Savage articulated that when artists cultivate relationships with their fans, it allows those fans to engage with various facets of the artists’ lives beyond their musical offerings.

She noted that her peers, including Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy, are currently in the spotlight due to the strong bonds they have established with their fanbase.

“It’s not just about the music; it’s your fanbase and your brand. You’ve to think of your fashion. You’ve to be relatable. A lot of times, artists are just putting out music; they are not really connecting with the fans.

“I think it’s really important to connect with the fans. If you look at Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy, they have established relationships with their fanbases. They love their lifestyles. Whether they are dropping a song or not, they are in the conversation. So it’s really important to build a fanbase. You are only good as strong as your team,” she said.

In other news, Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okunneye, also known as Bobrisky, is back in the news after responding to human rights lawyer Femi Falana and his son, Falz.

Recently, Bobrisky has been in the spotlight for various reasons. First, a leaked voice recording by VeryDarkMan claimed he bribed the EFCC with N15 million

Following that, he faced criticism online for allegedly receiving special treatment while in prison.

In a recent video shared online, the socialite expressed his anger, saying he was fed up with being the center of attention in blogs.

He made it clear that he is not the only star in the entertainment world and refused to be treated as a scapegoat, demanding that bloggers stop writing about him.
