Ebun Hodo, a budding Nollywood actress known for her bold and candid demeanor, recently spoke out about her decision to remain unmarried, despite her notoriety and attraction.
In an interview with the Saturday Sun, the Cross River State native said that her single status is a conscious decision influenced by her ideals and personal experiences.
“If it’s admirers, I have thousands of them. I’m just taking time and praying for God to guide me through it. For now, I am single by choice,” she stated.
Ebun’s independence and self-awareness have influenced her decisions, notably in terms of relationships.
She has turned down multiple suitors, stating that dishonesty, selfishness, and abusive behavior are unequivocal deal-breakers for her.
“I had to run for my life,” she recalled, explaining how past experiences have made her more cautious about entering into relationships.
Beyond her personal life, Ebun is clear about her expectations for a partnership. For her, financial stability is more essential than love.
“Let’s be sincere, is it love you’ll use to take care of your kids and family?
“I love money, and if my love for money will make you find me unattractive, then go away from me. The sight of money turns me on,” she boldly declared.
While Ebun continues to create headlines in Nollywood, she is also heavily invested in her fashion business. She feels that true prosperity in the entertainment sector comes from creating possibilities for oneself rather than relying just on acting assignments.
“For you to be a rich actor or actress, you need to be behind the camera, meaning producing your own movies to get that bulk money. Aside from that, it’s prostitution that gives them money. I said what I said. That’s why I took a break to focus on my fashion brand and take it more seriously,” she explained.
