Nigerian filmmaker, Tchidi Chikere, has opined that love is enough to keep a marriage.
The movie director made this known in an Instagram post on Wednesday while listing some of the things couples should do before getting married.
According to him, things like parenting style, religion, sexual expectations, family health history, mental health history and others should be discussed.
He said: “Before you get married, discuss bills, parenting style, credit, religion, how to deal with family, what beliefs will be instilled into your children, childhood traumas, sexual expectations, partner expectations, financial expectations, family health history, mental health history, bucket list, dream homes careers and education. Political views and whatsoever comes to mind.
“Love is not enough.”
Tchidi and Nuella sparked divorce rumours in 2021 after they unfollowed each other on Instagram.
The actress also removed her husband’s name from her Instagram profile.
Nuella and Tchidi got married in a traditional wedding held in her family compound in Anambra State on March 29, 2014. They have a daughter together.
Tchidi has three other children from his previous marriage to another actress Sophia Williams.
