“I sang ‘Machala’ from beginning to end” – Berri Tiga Calls Out Carter Efe after popular streaming platforms yanked it off

Nigerian skit-maker, Carter Efe has said that Machala belongs to him and not his colleague, Berri Tiga, whom he featured on the song.

The content creator made this known during a recent interview on Channels TV while revealing how he got the inspiration for the song.

GISTLOVER reported earlier that upcoming singer, Berri Tiga called out Carter for allegedly taking credit for the hit song, Machala.

He went on Instagram live to claim that he deserves the accolades and credit that the comic act is enjoying for the song.

Carter released Machala featuring Berri Tiga, on the 29th of July, and it debuted at the 14th position of 50 on the afrobeat charts, alongside songs by top stars like Burna Boy, Davido, Rema and his idol Wizkid.

In the IG session, Berri Tiga said that he wrote the song from beginning to the end and even sang every single verse and chorus.

He made the revelation when some fans asked him if he is the person that produced the massive song.

According to him, he is 100% responsible for writing Machala lyrics and singing the entire song. Tiga went further to say that he doesn’t know why the song was taken down from all streaming platforms.

He said: “I effing sang Machala. I wrote and I sang Machala 100% bro. I wrote Machala, I sang Machala from the beginning to the end.”

But in reaction, Efe said he was able to make the song while playing with some YouTube beats. During the freestyle, he noticed that the song and tune were quite catchy.

The comedian turned singer, said he decided to reach out to Berri Tiga, and asked him come over over so they could record the song because he couldn’t sing, and he knows Berri is a good singer.
