‘Made In Lagos’, the fourth studio album of Nigerian afrobeat’s superstar, Wizkid, may secure at least one nomination at the upcoming Grammy Awards in year 2022.
It was confirmed that Wizkid’s acclaimed ‘Made In Lagos’ body of work was submitted for the ‘Global Music Album’ category of the most sought-after award show.
“Billboard confirms Wizkid’s Made in Lagos has been submitted for the category “Best Global Music” at the 2022 Grammys,” Billboard said the submission in a Twitter post.
The album, which also has a deluxe edition, was pronounced the longest charting Nigerian album on Billboard after spending 50 weeks on the Billboard World album Chart.
In 2021, Burna Boy won the “Best Global Music Album” with his applauded compilation of songs, “African Giant”.
Likewise, Wizkid clinched an award in the “Best Music Video” category for his contributions to ‘Brown Skin Girl’.
