Magnus Abe emerges SDP governorship candidate in Rivers

Former Senator of the Rivers South-East Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Senator Magnus Abe, has emerged as the Social Democratic Party governorship candidate in Rivers State for the 2023 elections.

Recall that Abe yesterday announced that he joined SDP after dumping the ruling All Progressives Congress.

Abe emerged as the SDP gubernatorial candidate during a primary conducted in Port Harcourt on Saturday.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, senior officer Pastor Emmanuel Isong supervised the primaries and representatives from the Department of State Services, DSS and the Nigeria Police force were also present at the venue.
