opular Nigerian artiste, Ayoleyi Hanniel Solomon, fondly called Reekado Banks has told Nigerians to respect artists.
They say mutual respect is the foundation of genuine harmony and that’s what people actually need now. The singer has asked Nigerians to have due regard for the feelings and wishes of Nigerian artistes.
The ‘Ozumba Mbadiwe’ crooner taking to the microblogging platform, he tweeted to his over 1 million followers.
‘Respect artists’
However, Nigerians have shared their various thoughts about his assertion. Just as another quote says, respect comes in two unchangeable steps; giving it and receiving it, some tweeps have asked the artists to also show some respect.
A reaction from one Chimize including others prompted this editorial. Chimize asked Oxlade to show respect for himself first after making headlines when his bedroom video with a lady went viral online. He wrote;
‘Oxlade should respect himself’
Blessing Sam also wrote; “Respect the fans who spend their hard-earned money on data to stream artist songs. Please advise your comrades to stop releasing s3xtape for clout chasing. Thank you”
